How to make Kerisek



Ingredients/Bahan:
2 cup fresh grated coconut
2 cawan kelapa parut segar

Method/Cara:
1) Place the grated coconut in a wok.Fry without oil, with medium flame until golden.
1) Masukkan kelapa parut kedalam kuali.Goreng tanpa minyak dengan api sederhana sehingga perang.

2) Pound or grind until fine.In some instances for certain recipes require the kerisek to be very fine until some oil is visible.
2) Tumbuk atau kisar kering sehingga halus.Kadang2 kerisek perlu sangat halus sehingga berminyak,mengikut keperluan masakan tertentu.

Beginner series #2 a) Chilly Oil

Recipe for/Resipi untuk:
Chilly oil/Sambal Mee Berminyak

Ingredients/Bahan:
6 pcs fresh red chiillies/cili merah
10 pcs dried red chillies/cili kering (boil/direbus)
4 pcs/biji garlic/bawang putih
1/4 cup/cawan oil/minyak
1 tbs/sb brown sugar/gula merah
salt to taste/garam secukup rasa

Method/Cara:
1)Blend garlic,dried chillies and fresh chillies with 1/4 cup of water.
Kisar bawang putih,cili kering dan cili merah dengan 1/4 cawan air

2)Heat the oil and fry the chilly paste.
Panaskan minyak dan tumis cili

3)Add in the sugar and salt to taste
Masukkan gula dan garam secukup rasa

4)Fry until the oil separates for about 10 minutes.
Tumis sehingga pecah minyak anggaran dalam masa 10 minit.

5)Ready to serve
Siap untuk dihidang
